Anthony Robles is a wrestler. And his accomplishments are inspiring:
* In high school he was the state champion his junior and senior years.
* He's ranked 19th nationally after having recently beaten the 8th rated wrestler.
"I'm not 100-percent happy with my record, but I think I'm progressing well," Robles said. "I know I have a long way to go to reach the top. That's what I'm looking at right now."
* He finishes the team's mile run in a very respectable 8-minute pace.
But Anthony accomplishes all these things AND more on crutches. You see, Anthony was born with one leg.
That makes him not only an inspiring role model, but an amazing one too.
Anthony offers this insight into how he motivates himself
"I think my advantages equal my disadvantages. It's kind of up to me to figure out what I need to do to win."
Half-full, half-empty? I think Anthony's heart and mind are full.
Thanks, Anthony for your example!
